Russian Government Appoints Members of Vnesheconombank Supervisory Council

The Supervisory Council is comprised of Minister of Economic Development and Trade Herman Gref, Rosatom Head Sergey Kirienko, Russian Finance Minister Alexey Kudrin, Transportation Minister Igor Levitin, Russian Vice Prime Minister Sergey Naryshkin, First Deputy Chairman of the Military Industrial Commission under the Russian Government -Russian Minister Vladislav Putilin and Russian Minister of Industry and Energy Victor Khristenko.

Practical issues of the Bank’s activity were discussed at the meeting.
The Bank Chairman informed the President of preparing a memorandum of the Development Bank’s financial and investment activities. According to Vladimir Dmitriev the volume of the Bank’s loan portfolio could increase fourfold and amount to one trillion rubles by 2010.
The Bank’s main lines of business were discussed at the meeting including efforts aimed at overcoming infrastructure limitations to economic growth, enhancing efficient use of natural resources and upgrading and expanding high-technology production facilities.
