The project provides for alternative forms of servicing mentally impaired people and the replacement of long-term care services enabling the patients of care homes to become equal members of society. The project is particularly focused on rehabilitation through assisted daytime employment of social beneficiaries.

The uniqueness of the project is that it involves not only disadvantaged people directly participating in the project, but also their relatives and legal representatives eligible for employment under the programme. The project is aimed at adopting people with disabilities to live at home or in conditions close to living in family, and unlock their labour potential.
The project covers 38 people, including 12 people provided with an assisted living residence at specially equipped apartments and 18 people living in families and provided with assisted living services in personal residential facilities. In addition, 18 family members of project participants engaged in family care and not otherwise employed will get employment support and assistance. More than 1,500 patients are residents of specialised neuropsychiatric establishments in the Khabarovsk Territory.
